Hello Everyone,
I'm really sorry that I haven't been writing as much as I promised; however, I'm back now!
With this year coming to an end, I felt that it was time to reflect on how my resolutions for 2010 turned out:
Save Money!
Graduate in Dec 2010
Find a Job in the city I plan to move to... ;)
Take a chance on Forever
Stay away from drama..and trust and believe there were a few people that I asked not to call me again In 09.. hey it happens...move on.
and..imma leave it at that.....
Welp... I'm still working on saving money. Lets face it while the country is going through a recession I'm going through my own personal one.
My graduation date has been pushed back due to unforeseen circumstances i.e. my thesis paper, which I have rededicated myself to finishing..
Okay the city was Chicago(smh because of a no good man)..However, I'm thankful that I didn't end up there, and instead ended up in DC. I've been living here for two weeks and I've met a lot of really nice people and old classmates, plus I have a BANGING JOB.
I took a chance on Myself and Forever. I will always follow my heart and keep my best interest in mind, at ALL times.
Last year this time I was In love and counting down the days to the best New Years I've ever had. This year I'm in "Flirt," =) and plan on spending NYE with some of the best people I know.
Life never goes as planned; however this year every false hope has lead me to the position that I'm in today. Thankful.
This Self Love thing has it's perks. Happy New Year... and Stay Chocolate... I def will in the Chocolate City ;)

DC & The City... A Torrid Love Affair: I Knew I Loved You When....
HELLO DC!!!!!!
I knew I loved you when I saw people walking to their destinations in a hurry, when I saw someone flagging down a tax cab, and when I became enthralled in the big buildings that surrounded you.
I knew I loved you when I had to buy a bigger coat because I wasn't use to this type of weather.
I knew I loved you when I saw the tour bus drive pass my building full of sightseers, and when someone on the street asked me for directions( which prompted me to quickly point to someone more knowledgeable).
I knew I loved you when I was able to have a conversation about the metro with ease.
I know I love you, Because you had me at Hello.

What's hiding in your closet?
Today I decided it was time to start packing. When I moved out in June my dad told me, "Don't take a bunch of Junk behind you." I didn't listen and packed up every piece of Junk I've had since Junior year of college.
I came across every and anything from my past. Some of my stuff brought back the best memories: The Bahamas Cruise 2009, that I took with 7 of my girlfriends; andddd It brought up some pretty rough memories. It's easy for me to remove a person from my head, and sometimes from my heart. But while I've did all that, I kinda neglected to get rid of the "Stuff" that was still cluttering my closets.
What is cluttering your closet? I have a jewelry box that was given to me from "the Sniper"(lol yep that's what we call him), I have stuffed animals from every guy I've dated since my first boyfriend(they all have names) and I refuse to give up the last one I got from my ex, I don't know why but I love that one the most.
And we cant forget the pictures, ticket stubs, and souvenirs that I've collected along the way.
Why? Why, do we keep these things around when they are usually associated with bad memories, or that one person you just want to forget. I was actually able to get rid of every single picture with me and an ex. However; there is this one Polaroid picture of me and "Him", at a restaurant we went to for my birthday. Now I've ripped up more than a few pictures of US, but that pic has never got disposed of. I was speaking to my bestfriend AW today, when I came upon the pic, she said I'm probably keeping it because It was celebrating Me. And I have to admit that was my best birthday.
One Picture, and One stuffed teddy bear, But everything else has got to go. Is there anything your keeping in your closets? I wont tell anyone. =)
Self Love: Having the strength to throw away unnecessary garbage............... including Humans.
That's all for today. I'm expecting some big news tomorrow so please pray for me, and don't forget to Stay Chocolate.

World AIDS Day
Today everyone all over the world is acknowledging our continued fight against AIDS. If you know me or have dated me, you know that I have very strong feelings about diseases and being in monogomous relationships. I hate being sick, I hate when I have a cold, or having to take any kind of medication. I've been lucky, I had a partner that cheated, and thank God nothing came back to me, because thats how most people get diseases! And if your gonna cheat... atleast use a condom. Seriously I could go in on this topic all day. But instead I will direct everyone to the article I wrote for my school paper. Enjoy, and Stay Chocolate!!!
